When I met Yelena she was teaching a dance class at Steve Nash. I was in great shape working out 4 days a week getting strong and muscular … so I thought. We went for lunch one day and she told me she was competing, then and there she some how ended up being my coach and I tell you this beautiful, knowledgeable Russian woman got me to compete in my first competition ever and I placed 3rd. I really had to drop my ego and man up. I decided to put 110% trust in her. She taught me so much how to have proper form using light weight at first and slowly progress until I hit my personal best benching over 300 as well as squatting over 300lbs and over 700 lbs in leg press with proper form.
